Fun Bookstore Found in Sacramento

A couple of days before Christmas we took my mom to see the “Muppet Christmas Carol” playing at the Crest Theater in Sacramento. On the way back to the car we happened on a bookstore that became a family favorite within minutes.

Capital Books, 1110 K St., is the kind of place a reader could spend hours. In fact, my sister finally had to cut my mom off after the two of them couldn’t carry all the books Mom wanted to buy. The people who own this store, Heidi and Ross Rojek, can actually discuss the books they sell, they have book-related fun stuff for sale at the counter, they are open every day, and they validate parking. Plus, there’s an awesome kid section in the back of the store.

Check out the teacher section of their website! I can’t say enough about this bookstore except that I wish it were closer to my house.
